Miracles can happen at any moment, when we least expect it.  It's important just to be open to them and they will happen, and the best part is you'll be more aware and you'll experience more and more miracles.  Sunday headed out for my 6 hour tempo ride I'm headed over to that other gym to meet up with a group and low and behold there's a white male deer.  He must have had 8 points on his antlers.  It was amazing. I apologize to any body who came to that

As always the week of the annual Fastenal Butt Slapping Convention is long, this week was extraordinarily long.  And I didn't even have my annual party.  It started off last Thursday with the cancelation of Camp Eagle.  I gotta say that that really bummed me out.  It's not my favorite place to ride, because it's scary hard, once I'm prepared for something, I don't like to have many changes to it.  I was petrified about the drive down there in the freezing rain in many areas of BFE.  I knew

Where to start…I never quite know where to begin.  Saturday I had the season opener of the Texas Marathon Mountain Bike Series in Palo Duro Canyon, Texas.  I love marathon mountain bike races, I love Palo Duro Canyon.  Sounds like a perfect day, doing my favorite thing in the whole world!!  It was a challenge getting there.  I should first thank all my sponsors who made it possible for me to have the experience.  Thank you Bikes Plus, Orthopedic Associates, Sumy Designs,  Dallas Vein Specialist, and Terra Firma Adventure Racing

That's an interesting date isn't it?  I'm TIRED, I'm frazzled, I'm busy, I'm a survivor. I went to Knob Hill today, I went in the back, knowing it was probably wet, I was prepared to tip toe around, you know, Leave NO trace.  I went downt he hill, a little water at the bottom, this can't be a good sign!  I just went cautiously, not expecting much.  I got all the way to the end, and noticed we should be riding that section, it's so torn up by horse tracks it

Hey, what a week of awesome off road training!  Days like these are why I love riding mountain bikes!  I took Monday off, Tuesday I did an hour at Horseshoe trail with 13 hill repeats, very educational, practice siting, speed, drills. Wednesdasy, no hills, horseshoe, fast, working on siting. Thursday, Northshore, work on technical skills and siting on the flats.  Had a little bit of a mishap, some pain in the left leg, quite a bit, actually, but didn't lose the confidence to continue working on sections.  It was fun, made it
