April 2013

hi, wow. I'm still amazed I rode 50 miles. I was shooting for 10 hours, or 8 hours, but 6:35 was a surprise. I stayed at Motel 6 close to the square in Prescott, so it was a 10 minute coast to the start line. The corrals were a self-seed start, so I put myself at the very back, but after a half hour, there were many more (100+ or more?) people behind me, and people passing bikes over the barriers and squeezing in. For a few days now. Not literally, and Thank God, Ken isn't either. Just know, please, that I am a tad bit mentally paralyzed right now. I'm going through the motions, trying to stay busy, but I hit the proverbial wall, I will get through this in the next day or two, I will get done what I need to get done, but may not be very successful at the "I want to get done list" vs, the "has to get done list". So please bear with me as I work through some of this

We know now, that everything is going to be alright, and chances are, when the dust settles, things will be better than they have been in a long time. However, when you get the call, you really don't know what to expect. Your life is a whirlwind, some whirlwinds are bigger
