Thanksgiving

11.29.09 Happy Thanksgiving!! Wishing I were at Starbuck’s…but then, again, who doesn’t Laughing I have so much to do, I don’t want to waste the 20 minutes of driving each way to get there. I feel like I’m a little behind of where I want to be at this point. Only because I took Friday and Saturday totally off. I also feel like 4 AM is going to be very harsh tomorrow morning. Today I got up at 5. I had laundry to do, breakfast to eat, snack to make, and a 3 hour ride to do. I wasn’t sure what was on the agenda, I thought I would ride on the road. I went out on Thursday. Friday I had a client at the house…oh, did I say I took Friday totally off. oops. And I noticed I had a flat. I love flat tires at the house on the back porch. I didn’t much feel like changing it and since I hadn’t been off road, I needed some skills. So I put 40 pounds of pressure in the rear and 35 up front and headed to Twin Coves Park. I felt great. the road was awesome. The weather is perfect. The leaves are changing colors and the grass is bright green. It’s totally amazing out there. I got to the park and headed in. I was a little worried about the extra PSI, it was totally awesome. I was right there for everything. I rode things I had never riden before. There were a couple of sections in the beginning where my siting wasn’t right, but I got that totally ironed out and was WOW! I rode past the MADD shelter, and made it to the unidirectional trail section. It was muddy and I was at my time limit so it was a perfect reason to turn around. On the way back I hit some stuff I have NEVER hit by myself. I am stoked. An old lady and still getting faster, and better. I am slim on the blog entries. I am working diligently to get my new website done. It’s not yet. I think, the holiday slowed stuff down. I have some data transfer to do and Susan with Sumy designs has some photos and some programming to do. It shouldn’ t take long. Welcome, Maxxis to my sponsorship list! Thank you so much. And I have to say I totally love my new tire. I have been using it for a month. But today really was the final sale on them. I’m running the Advantage 2.1 up front. L ighter weight than the LarsenTT. It’s got some tread on it. It is desinged by Alison Dunlap. I have the Ignitor in the back, I ended up running that in reverse to get a little more grip on the technical steep ascents. It is the BOMB. Today with the extra 5 pounds…I can’t wait to run them at my next race!! Camp Eagle is not on my original list for races…So I’m booked in January. I will continue to run the Monorail in the front as my fast rolling tire. A little extra grip on the sandy moist red rock, or granite. is very helpful. And that Ignitor in reverse climbs up everything. I feel like a billy goat! I am a billy goat!! Life is good, well, AWESOME!! Well, I’ve got the Christmas Jazz on, eating some of the best soup I have ever had(turkey soup made by me) and it’s time to go brew my afternoon cappucino! Riding with God….
