July 2013

It's the truth. Yesterday I finished a very long, difficult training ride for the LT100. Once I got service, I checked my email, and in there was this from a past client: "Ride until you see the Light, until you see that you are part of the Divine. Ride until you remember why you ride. You ride for your health. You ride, for the joy.  You ride because it makes you a better person. You ride to feel better. You ride, because it's important to take care of yourself, so that you are here another

Started ride it was 68 degrees, with cloud cover. That made my MN blood so happy. :) I finished it was sub 80, double happy :)  :) My Awesome Ride: consisted of Elena/Tram/La Luz x 2/Tram Elena.  You can see it's my  mini Leadville. I wanted to head to Socorro today to do "Leadville" Topo. There's been a change in Monsoon patterns, bringing them earlier, and I wanted to make the most of my morning. So with the change in monsoons patterns, I changed my workout. Tuesday's ride left me with a TSS score of 271.  That would

8.5 hours on the bike will do that. Especially without music.  I don't like to listen to music when I exercise, it blocks out God's Voice. I started my ride off with heading down Tramway. Lot's of folks out riding yesterday but one gentleman caught my eye. The guy with one leg. So here comes a guy with one leg.  No prosthetic, just

It's always good to, or you miss some great information, like today. 1st off I want to remind everyone how important it is getting BCAA's (branched chain amino acids) in your supplementation during long duration exercise. I usually get mine from meat. A lot of attention on L- Carnitine.  Carnitine helps the process of AMP into ATP. as well as help maintain glucose uptake and availability. The latest research is tending towards the importance of L-Arginine. L-Arginine is a precursor to NO(nitrite oxide)  If this is foreign to you then check back on an

The best way to describe it is Wow; Wow-zapalooza. What is Hut to Hut? It's a 6 night adventure via bicycle through a hut system from Durango to Moab:   I committed to the event about a year and a half ago.  I committed to schlepping the kitchen through the San Juan Mountains. I love Back Country.  Although 6 days would be the longest I have gone. I knew the truck would hold up well, as the guys at the shop said, it's the best shape they have ever seen the make and model of my vehicle.
