Wow, that's almost a 1 to 1 ratio.  Well, 4 eggs a day, and look at my cholesterol.  Amazing.  I have been very busy.  My neck MRI came back normal, which is good.  Now I can move forward and get some other work done.  It is quite clear that my body needs attention, needs to be back into alignment.  My bike was over 300 bucks to get it back into riding shape.  I swam one day last week, that was interesting.  Really had to focus on reach and roll, and

Yesterday was Bar-H.  And although it was scheduled as a XC race for me with a 1 hour tempo run, I was more happy doing what I did out there.  I was there to support Team Zoe Fitness and Zoe Fitness Athletes. Rich started the day with a Cat 1 race.  He went off at 9, I got there just in the nick of time, so I could get bottle directions.  I was glad.  He reminded me of his mantra, and off he went.  He came through transition, in good spirits

I am in so much pain right now I can no longer be vertical to the ground.  I must be horizontal.  I am weening off the medication.  I know some people like the stuff, I think it is very evil. I went to the dentist after work, it's gonna cost about 600 bucks for new teeth.  For the real new ones about 2200.  I didn't get new teeth today because with the dentists' help we discovered, if I got new teeth I wouldn't be able to put my straw in this

You never know when some freak accident is going to happen.  Take me for example, my first ever DNS, ear infection.  Was headed over to a friends, next thing I know, I have the wind blow my bag into my front wheel and I have a broken jaw.  Last Sunday I was headed over to a friends house with some jersey's some stuff I had borrowed.  I made the conscious decision to carry a bag vs a back pack.  Was working on some drills.  Doing all this fancy stuff, and

That would be my first ever.  It was an interesting morning.  Getting no sleep, My monkey had fever bad enough that I had to medicate during the night.  She was barfing all day on Friday.  The dogs were up twice, making for a 4 x interruptions.  The wind was so strong, that also woke me up a couple of times.  It was so loud it reminded me of sleeping in  the back of my truck.  Although my alarm was set for 3 something  I didn't hear it until after 4

I have the head cold from hell.  Yesterday I was incapacitated completely.  Today, I am at least sitting at the computer.  That's a start.  I am hoping to at least get some of my chores done. The irony of it.  I thought I was having a little reaction to all the pollen, which I don't have allergies, but figured that's what it could be; so I kept trudging a long.  Until yesterday, 'BOOM"!!  That's when I knew.  Of course, it would have to happen after I dropped over 100 bucks for

Transition for Triathlons; Making transition times faster can really make a difference when it comes to your overall placement in a Triathlon. Here are some of my secrets; I like to get to transition set up with plenty of time.  I actually go through transition from coming in from the swim to exiting on the run.  I walk through it, visualize it and look for all the cues of where my transition spot is.  I go through it several times before heading to the swim. don't dry off don't wear gloves or socks; train

Time keeps on slipping into the future. Yesterday was my first brick workout of the season.  Had a little rendezvous with the purple couch.  My ride was slow.  It was off road on my SS, with my fork was bottoming out.  Will touch on more of this later.  The trail was wet in places, I had to walk quite a bit; between mechanicals, mud, and SS.  After 45 minutes I did some drills worked on some wheelies,  lifting the front end up, figure 8's and how low can I go.  Grabbed

What a weekend.  All skills.  Mike Heitz of the USA National Junior Team came down to Texas all the way from Colorado to inspire 11 of us from all over the country. He taught us skills, he taught us how to lead skill clinics.  It was awesome.  And, of course, I asked him about coming down for a mountain biking skills clinic.  He said he would love to, but his last helper knew all the in's and out's of mountain biking but wasn't much of a teacher.  This guy is

I can't give away any of my secrets; I did an awesome track workout of my own design. All on  Interval Pace: 4 x 200 2 x 400 1 x 1000 2 x 400 4 x 200 w/u and cool down lap with rest intervals of 200, or 400 for a grand total of 6.75 miles.  Fun, Fun.
