What do you put in your bottles? While training:
I Was Like; “Wow that Girl Looks Oddly Familiar”
But no way, would Shonny Vanlandingham be swimming at my Master's Group. That would just be freakishly weird that I would be swimming next to a World Champion. As we know, all things are possible. And I did say something like, " You look oddly familiar to me, what's your name?" "Shonny" "I thought that was you
In The Winter My Favorite Thing to do is Log Base Miles on the Mountain Bike
My favorite part of winter, anywhere I have lived: MN, TX, NM, has been to log a lot of base miles on the Mountain Bike. I like to combine Road and Mountain all on Fat Tire. It's safer to be on your Mountain Bike in less than perfect conditions on the Road, including road debris from snow and ice removal. You get great base miles and can work all of your Energy Systems with ease. The best part of being on your Mountain Bike, you can find dirt; either by riding to the
Random Thoughts
Yesterday, MLK day, was the first day I had eaten all 3 meals since last week. I decided to take my Coach's advice, and take one more day. She's always saying; "when you feel 100%, take one more day!" I think, that's great advice. Even though I was totally jones'n for a workout today. I can feel my big toe for the 1st time in 30 years, and it took me breaking my foot to heal the soccer injury from 7th grade. Almost all OTC medicine's contain petroleum derivatives. Apparently I am still Living with Petri Dishes
I'm sorry Franklin Mountains, I will not be able to come and say hello to you this time. It will have to wait for another time. As the kids get older they certainly are not as sick as often, but it's here. I am having my ass kicked by what my oldest monkey had earlier this week. Yesterday my fever topped out a 102.5. I ate a bag of potato chips, drank 1.5 gallons of water, juice etc. Today down to 100.something. Who knows now, I just had to walk the dogs, and I am eating,
Fever
High Fever. I do wish the girls would plan their illnesses a little better. That was a joke, just in case you didn't notice.
Dear God, I have the Cough, but Not the Fever
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, My oldest monkey has been home sick with cough and fever. We're talking 103.5 on more than one occasion. Hence, there must be a "Big" Race I am getting ready for. HAHA As a coach and an athlete, I know that every 3 to 5 years you need to have an easy year. But two, seriously. I guess, running 50 miles last summer doesn't make it an easy year, but Geez, everything afterwards has been a complete failure. Keep on Keeping On. My Goal for El Paso Puzzler, I'm not signed up: 15 miles, 35 miles or 50 miles.

Must Be a Big Race on the Horizon
Why? Because my oldest has 101.4 temperature, with the chest congestion, and I'm next. More laterZ
Compression
Compression is great! When we exercise, simply put, we get inflammation in our bodies and in our muscles. There is a complex physiological response to the inflammation. I will be happy to get into the physiological response, just let me know. But for most of us, what happens at the cellular level really isn't important, and it will be over our heads. So we will leave that out for now. So we exercise, we exercise hard and our bodies do this amazing thing in response to the exercise load and that is; inflammation
