July 2010

Ok, got to the trail at 6:32.  Headed out w/Rey for an EZ ride, shooting for 4 hours.  Picked up Scott and just strolled and walked and coasted.  It was fun.  I have decided it is very fun to COAST in the SHADE.  It was 73 degrees upon our arrival at the MADD shelter.  So we did a lap, in 1:30, roughly.  Then, I hung out and talked business with Rey and ate berries.  Then I headed out for a full lap including the Bamboo forest. 1:45.  I'm guessing I

A week gone by, already??  Crazy stuff, huh? So here's the week in a re-cap. I WANT MORE TIME :o) Sunday, found a really nice apartment.  I think, we're hoping to make an offer.  The new finance reform, disqualifies us or anybody from purchasing it.  The area we are looking into is 51% or greater rented.  So hopefully, we're working on some of the details.  Left ABQ at 5:00 TX time.  So I knew it was going to be tough getting home. The drive was awesome, we had an overnight in Quanah, only

Went out by myself today.  Saw everybody I know, Kathy, Scott, Spencer, Daniel, Keith Gray.  They were all going the opposite way that I was.  I was definitely in a social mood, I just didn't want to deviate from my plan.   My plan was to ride 3 hours, and to see if I felt good.  I did, so I threw a Jeter Loop in there too. Trying to see if I can get ready for the Northshore 100. It felt like the olden days, my Old Man was ready to ride when

I love running! I haven't loved running since the 9th grade. Today I did two Rolling Acre Loops and 2 Mark Lessley loops for a total of 8.5 miles.  I did this at an RPE of 4-5 on a 10 point scale, zone 1-2, for a total time of 76 minutes.  Sub 9 minute miles for Zone 1-2

Rey's ready for Nationals. Tonight I took poor, poor Rey over to my secret spy hill.  And just put it to him.  Starts with a combo of Over/Unders.  And to close it down some hill repeats, and starting on a hill.  Let's work on that still. When you're racing next week, I want to ask yourself, "is this more painful than an asp bite?"  If it isn't push harder.
