My body quite clearly forgot how to fun fast

I’ve had two days off, the Jack Russell(Parsons) Terrier, was driving me crazy, so I had a plan this morning.  Take Mojo, Molly and do 2 “Lessley Loops” = (.8 miles x 2).  Drop the dogs off and run a Rolling Acres Loop.

Actually my math at 4 AM was a little different, but hey, that’s 6 hours of sleep.  At any rate, with the dogs being dropped off and one trip to the ground to remind the Parson’s Terrier who was boss total time was 44 minutes.

Rolling Acres is my test run at 3.5 miles.  That was 28 minutes.

Did the math: for the full 5.1 that was 8:38 minutes/mile

For the test: 3.5 miles that was 8 minutes/mile

OK, so maybe my body did get faster, it just felt like I forgot how to run fast.  But quite clearly that’s a PR.

I don’t want to take them off, they feel good, I guess I should take a shower now.
