2012 has been a great year for Team Classic/Zoefitness, and it’s because of the support, of our sponsors. Classic/Zoefitness Athlete’s were spotted all over the country, racing in Nationally Recognized events: Texas, Washington State, Oregon, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, California, Arizona, and Wisconsin; in 2013  we are hoping for expansion in Minnesota.  In 2012 we had an athlete spotted in Madrid, Spain while competing in the Rock-N-Roll Marathon.  We have competed in Mountain Biking: cross country, ultra-endurance and cyclocross, marathons, ultra runs, Ironman, Adventure Races, Triathlon, Xterra, BMX and locally supported

I was planning on hiking up the mountain, Pino Canyon Trail I was planning on riding South 14 I was planning on riding Water Canyon to the Lightening Observatory in Socorro.   I, however, was NOT planning on sitting in Ken's recliner for 3 days all jacked up on hydrocodone because that stoopid rock got in the way and I did finally decide to break my foot. It hurts, it's a clean break, through the bone. Not only are potato chips my favorite post race recovery food, it's also my favorite hydrocodone condiment. This week has been

It was kinda sad, it was long over due, that bike won me 3 state Championships and a Leadville 100 Mile Mountain Bike Belt Buckle. So if anyone wants a 18 inch Kona Hei Hei FS frame, I have one. I also have some Mavic SLR wheels, Some Shimano Deore Cranks, but that's about it. What I did get was a totally revamped SS.  You know my converted 1999 Specialized Stumpjumper Pro.  It got a 'new' locking fork, a brand new set of wheels with DT swiss hubs, and the best part of it, a

And I probably would have harbored a lot of feelings of, "Why me?!?!" I would have felt all of those nasty feelings of being the victim. That's going about it all wrong. I am glad to know that, in life, we all have the ability to grow and mature and become that  life spirit that we are all a part of here in Earth School. I have been OFF since last Thursday. Last Wednesday morning while doing my dynamic exercises and running the new puppy, Pepe (Brutus; Bubba the linebacker for LSU) he decided to 'herd'

God is the Universal Spirit of all things.  God is in Everything.  God is the Energy that resides within Everything.  God is Good.  God is Love.  God is Joy. I believe in Newton's 1st Law: Energy is neither create nor destroyed. That is what God is to me. God is in the Good, and God is even in what appears to be bad. It's been busy, real busy.  Good Busy. Life changes. Lots of life changes. School, Birthdays, Visits, Work and Training:  All Good. and since it is ALL GOOD, I say to myself, when asked, "How are

Remounts:  Take the bike off your shoulder by grabbing the left side of the handlebars with the left hand.  Move the right hand from the bars and grasp the middle of the down tube; then slide the bike off your shoulder and gently place the wheels on the ground, pointing in the direction you want to go.  Take the right hand off the down tube and grasp the right side of the handlebars.  Always looking forward, take a few quick steps and leap off the left foot with just enough

Cyclocross Training Dismounts:  When approaching a running section, eyes should be looking forward and the left pedal down.  Remove right foot from the pedal and swing the right leg over the rear wheel.  Bring the right leg forward between the frame and the left leg.  Simultaneously, release the handlebars with the right hand and grab the middle of the top tube.  Just as your right foot is about to make contact with the ground, flick the left foot out of the pedal, pick up the bike with the right hand; plant

We need to just suck it up and do it! Like today: 3rd consecutive day of imperfect sleep. Difficult and somewhat stressful morning getting ready; finally saying, "if you're not in the car by 7:40 you'll have to find another way to get to school" I HAD to take a shower before taking the girls to school.  If I HAVE to take a shower BEFORE a bike ride, you know it's bad, really bad! I have been "bleeding spontaneously" from several lesions that I have acquired on my skin my hair was falling out by

Yeah, I wanted to race this weekend: Saturday was the Sandia Mountain Bike Race. Sunday was the Cochiti Triathlon. I would have liked to do both. I told my friend if I didn't do that Triathlon, I may be able to pull off the Mountain Bike race. Thursday Kimmie and I went to Cochiti we swam and then did 1 lap of the bike loop.  My average 15 mph, but intensity felt like 20 mph.  Then, I was catapolted and took the next day off. I wanted to do it so bad, but with my eyes on
