Yesterday, MLK day, was the first day I had eaten all 3 meals since last week. I decided to take my Coach's advice, and take one more day. She's always saying; "when you feel 100%, take one more day!" I think, that's great advice. Even though I was totally jones'n for a workout today. I'm sorry Franklin Mountains, I will not be able to come and say hello to you this time. It will have to wait for another time. As the kids get older they certainly are not as sick as often, but it's here. I am having my ass kicked by what my oldest monkey had earlier this week. Yesterday my fever topped out a 102.5. I ate a bag of potato chips, drank 1.5 gallons of water, juice etc. Today down to 100.something. Who knows now, I just had to walk the dogs, and I am eating,
Fever
High Fever. I do wish the girls would plan their illnesses a little better. That was a joke, just in case you didn't notice.
Dear God, I have the Cough, but Not the Fever
Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, My oldest monkey has been home sick with cough and fever. We're talking 103.5 on more than one occasion. Hence, there must be a "Big" Race I am getting ready for. I call it a "Lance Armstrong" when your brake is rubbing on your bike; in remembrance of the Time Trial he won in the Tour de France with his brake rubbing. I have been planning this ride for over a week; I'm pretty compulsive about checking the weather, and I knew Monday would be a great day: kids in school, weather above freezing, some sunshine, let's roll. I'm trying to get my endurance up, Get some fitness back. I've had a rough go at it. I've been slowly working on it; between breaking my foot, and
