Sunday/Saturday
12 hour cleaning fest yesterday. Wow, is the house clean! 😮
I’m still sick. I have this awful cough. I understand why coaches have coaches. I don’t, I use myself. That being said, it’s very difficult to be objective when it’s your training plan. So I really had to step back and say, “if I was my client, what would I tell me?” I would say, “take another day off, until you’re better, then, when you’re ready to come back, take another day.”
Apparently, at this point, I think, it’s safe to say I have been carrying the flu around. That’s the only thing I can figure. The walk up the stairs test, I failed that, I was out of breath. The walk the dogs test and see how I feel, failed, so here I am at Starbuck’s making everybody else faster.
Trying to keep myself rationale about missing a 2o mile run today. Miss a 20 mile run today, or end up in the hospital with pneummonia…hmm, that’s not a tough one. OK, I’m busted for being overdramatic. But you get my point right?
You don’t know how hard it was for me not to run. I really wanted to run. Yes, I really wanted to run my 20 miles. Did you hear me? Then, you have to ask, did you hear me right? Yup, you sure did. I’m digging this running thing.
Don’t get me wrong, I love riding my bike. I love riding my bike more than…a lot of things, and we’ll just keep it at that. I love riding my bike for 6 hours, 12 hours, not 24 hours, at least, not yet.
I wanna have a run, I wanna have Kathy of Terra Firma have a run with me. I want to have an ultraendurance run at Big Cedar. Timed and how many laps can you run in 6 hours, 12 hours. I think, it would be awesome. I’m still trying to talk her into a 2 lap XTERRA, that would be like a half Ironman. I think, they have one down in Ruston. I wasn’t ready this year. I think, it had something to do with a broken jaw.
Speaking of broken jaws only another week until I find out my fate.
So you know what it means, that I’m doing this 50 k run…I’ve talked about it with quite a few people. No, if you don’t remember, I’m keeping the cat in the bag. Don’t worry, it’s a humane bag with lots of air.
I have a tip of the day: don’t vacumn your key board with a meihl vacumn on high power. I think, I put a few of the keys back in the wrong place. Which is no problem for me, but for my little monkeys…it’s going to really confuse them.
