No go to Dirty Dozen
My favorite race. I haven’t missed a beat in 4 years. Last year I showed up with bronchitis and a sinus infection and rode until I couldn’t ride anymore. Well, this time the old man is gone, so I thought, ‘hell, since I can’t find anyone to do a double sleep over so I can race, the girls and I will go down Friday night or Saturday and camp out. The oldest little monkey even got a sleeping bag for the occasion.
I pick the monkeys up from school and one little monkey has a sore throat. I stick a thermometer in her mouth; I have everything in my car. And sure enough she has a fever of 100. Later that night, a fever of 104 and some change. Pretty scary when it gets that high, you just hope and pray they don’t go into convulsions.
So no adventure for me this weekend, a trip to Target, if I’m lucky. :o)
A road ride for sure. Sorry Bikes Plus, won’t be picking up my SS today. When the monkey isn’t sick any more I’ll swing by to get it. Thanks for getting it done, though.
My knee is so bruised up for Comfort, they’re both bruised one still really hurts, I can’t run yet. I want to go running. I’m thinking about 3.5 right now. Crazy. I’ll wait until Manana.
Sorry I can’t make it down to Warda, I did have good intentions. I was going to hang out, do bottle handouts. The Power of the Universe had other plans for me.
As for Comfort: perseverance or insanity?!?!
