Wow, that’s almost a 1 to 1 ratio. Well, 4 eggs a day, and look at my cholesterol. Amazing. I have been very busy. My neck MRI came back normal, which is good. Now I can move forward and get some other work done. It is quite clear that my body needs attention, needs to be back into alignment. My bike was over 300 bucks to get it back into riding shape. I swam one day last week, that was interesting. Really had to focus on reach and roll, and that right arm pulling too early. Everything happens for a reason.
I rode on Monday. 1 hour, it was so nice to get outside, to be in the fresh air over by the lake. I was super paranoid that I may blow a tube. Like last week, sitting in the shop 25 minutes after changing my tire. BAM! And I was supposed to be on it, that’s what is super scary. After I went out, I felt much more relaxed.
I will not be able to ride mountain bikes for 2 months. The DR doesn’t want me riding outside in fear of me falling. He doesn’t want me running in fear of me clenching my teeth.
Monday at 4 pm I got my rubber bands off. That was totally weird!! I have been in so much pain the last two days. Yesterday I only got through the day with the medication. Today, I am in pain, I took plain Tylonol. Hopefully I will be strong enough to get through the rest of the day.
I went to the track yesterday. Walking backwards, walking on the football field. Too much pain to run.
Tomorrow I am supposed to be leaving for Las Vegas for the Xterra Western Cup Championship. All of that flushed down the toilet. That was a total bummer. Then, I thought about going to Fort Myers, my Grandma isn’t doing as well as we would hope. The truth of the matter is I need to just stay put, and take care of myself. Get stronger, and healthier, and REST.
I found out that I will be put under when they take the wires off. This is not good. It is going to hurt, immensely. I have graduated to mush with a spoon.
I feel like I have been hit by a train! OUCH!
I did love riding my Maxxis Cormet tires. They are nice and grippy. I will touch on this more later.
