It’s been a long time, I can tell my exercise ball needs air.
I am no longer ergonomically set up on my exercise ball for computing.
Bummer, needs more air. It feels so good to be sitting on an exercise ball when I’m working.
I’ve been super busy, the holidays are here. For the first time in my life, I don’t actually feel stressed about it. I just feel like…well, the holidays are here. Thank you God for this awesome beautiful world and life.
We are having baking fun. Last night, during dinner, I made organic, GF peanut butter cookies with Hershey Kisses. The Hershey Kisses aren’t GF or organic, but nummy. I’m not sure why we have to put chemicals in our food. I can no longer handle any chemicals in my food. The TBHQ feels like it’s killing me.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tert-Butylhydroquinone
http://www.ehow.com/facts_5594973_tbhq-side-effects.html
“TBHQ is the acronym used to describe tertiary butylhydroquinone, which is an antioxidant that comes from petroleum and is related to butane. It is often used as a preservative, applied either to the carton of fast food items or sprayed directly onto them, as well as in various other prepackaged food items.”
Carcinogenesis
In toxicity studies, long-term, high-dose TBHQ administration in lab animals showed a tendency for them to develop cancerous precursors in the stomach, as well as causing DNA damage. But unlike other antioxidant additives, it did not cause lung lesions in laboratory animals.”
I did not however, find any information on how TBHQ is stored in the system, or if it is excreted in the urine. And if so, how would long time exposure, 15 years, add up and the toxicities that are related to these long term exposures. That is more important, don’t you agree?
Can the FDA tell us that?
Now I know why it feels like it’s killing me, it’s a petroleum product and I am now allergic to all things containing petroleum, by products.
Now I know why I woke up with a bleeding sore on my face and a bleeding sore on my chest.
It helps to know what stuff is when we’re eating it. I knew it was a preservative, but didn’t know what kind.
So America,
We can thank the food industry for allowing us to eat Petroleum Products.
Does the use of Petroleum Products ever end???
What the Frack!?!?
Don’t get me started on how many everyday products (outside of the gas and oil we put in our car) come from Petroleum.
Your homework:
I have been googling for awhile and I can’t find a good list of different names that you can recognize on products you use: petrolatum, parrafin, etc. But can’t. Sorry.
A common theme, is to know what you’re using, what you’re eating.
Often times we think that we are being protected, that people are looking out for us. I’ve learned in the last couple of years:
The only person looking out for you: Is YOU!
Never assume somebody else, especially some one who stands to make a profit, is looking out for your best interest. I’m not talking about quality coaching. I really care about the people I work with, and only have their best interest at heart.
Up until a couple of years ago, I thought, that people had morals and values similar to mine. What I’ve learned the hard way, is “they don’t”. And they will try to hide and cover up the truth, they will do their best to use propaganda to believe their product is best, but the truth, most “mainstream” producers of products only care about profit.
Interesting enough, I just thought about how this is similar to Junior High; mainstream. The pressures to be accepted, fit in, doing anything to be liked by the ‘popular people’.
I’m teaching the girls, if they have to advertise, then, it’s not a good product.
If the product was good, then, they wouldn’t have to advertise.
Hmm…
I’ve been doing some running again. Man, do I love to run! This week, I’m going to hire a babysitter, fill a back pack, bring my snowshoes and start in the foothills and go up and up and up. Shall be fun, I am totally excited.
The toes seems to be good, not 100%. I can tell. I’m wondering if I didn’t bruise the bone. I am glad that the muscles of my foot and lower leg are strengthening and healing.
Yesterday I skied a half day at Sandia, it was awesome.
Friday, I rode the rollers,
Thursday I took off and did Christmas things. We have construction at the house so I don’t have all the freedoms I usually do.
Wednesday I did the most awesome swim workout.
Tuesday, I know I did some good stuff, ran 50 minutes off road.
Monday…my memory fails me.
I’ve been blogging a lot, mostly exercises, and tips.
I am alive and well and living in: Albu-jeurkie.
I love this place!
albeit, I miss home.
