Update:
Can't say that I'm feeling any more energized from my morning run. Started off about 5:30, packed a back pack, and headed out to do some long loops. I ran Rolling Acres, plus Jeter Rd Loop and repeated with a stop at my back pack. It was pretty easy. I wish I would have been more rested. I didn't have any sleep last night, and I thought that would be a major problem. It wasn't. I was hoping for sub 10 minute miles. I didn't stop my watch when I stopped
14 miles: By 8 AM
No this is not on a vehicle that has wheels, this is on my own two feet. I'm too tired to talk about it now. After my second cup of coffee, I'll give you the full low down. I will say this. Today I have felt good, yesterday I felt good, the air is cleaner than usual. The two days before that
I think, there’s a cold front
It's 10:00 and it's only 89 degrees. I hit the road about 6:45, when it was light enough (and I was ready enough) for a 2 hour road ride, it actually felt, cool. Of course, cool is a relative term when you're dealing with 107 degrees on a daily basis. It felt good to go out and hit the open road. I felt tired at first, and I've notice more recently it takes me an hour to w/u. That can/could be a problem. After an hour, I felt pretty good,
BTW
On my 2 hour Trail Run, I wore my Brooks Five's. That's a "5 k racer." They were great, a more technical course, it may have not been enough traction, but on Knob Hill, they rocked. Plenty of support and coverage.
ABQ NM 9 Mile TT
Well, I didn't win, and I didn't lose. I almost barfed twice. And I met some great people. Saw Rod and another old acquaintance Sylvio. 9 miles in 26 something. That's a good ride considering I rode the Crest yesterday, I'm at altitude, and I ride a 6 year old Klein, with Time Mountain Bike pedals. That's my first race post since breaking my jaw. I was able to confidently go into aero position on the handlebars. I was able to ride the hills without braking, and with pedaling strong, in
Sandia Crest: 8.6.10 14 miles straight up, RPE of 5.
Never road my road bike up a mountain before, it's something I want to get better at. I called Justin @ Bikes Plus Flower Mound he recommended a 28 cog in the back. So off to Coppell I went to get that baby put on before my big adventure. I have ridden up many mountains in my day. Never on a skinny tire. It was easy. I didn't have any trouble at all. We went 14 miles straight up to 10,800 feet. Not too high, but that's as high as it

30 minute Run to Starbuck's uphill at 5500 feet. 35oo yard/meter, not sure Swim. and a weird sunburn. Note to self remind little monkey to put sunscreen everywhere, and to cake it on. :o) I have so much energy, it's crazy, I feel GREAT
Go Old School: PSI; “it feels right”.
Had an awesome conversation with Thomas Mullins on the trail about tire pressure. He's so right. It's just another example of going back to OLD SCHOOL. In the olden days we used to just pump up our tires until they 'felt' right. And then, we were good to go. I have been using my tire pressure reader relegiously. Today, I lowered my tire pressure to 32 psi in back 28 up front. Thomas was like 'no way, there's over 40 pounds in each one of these. Then, he was explaining

Hip, hip hurray! It's been a long time, or at least it seems like it. I've gotten in some great workouts, despite the heat. I hit FOY Masters on Friday that was a blast. Backstroke. Thursday got in strength and a great 1 hour trail run. I would have liked to go further, the heat actually held me back, I started at noon. This week was so busy I don't know if I can remember it all. I know I ran a Jeter Loop, I know I rode my bike, I
