ABQ NM 9 Mile TT
Well, I didn't win, and I didn't lose. I almost barfed twice. And I met some great people. Saw Rod and another old acquaintance Sylvio. 9 miles in 26 something. That's a good ride considering I rode the Crest yesterday, I'm at altitude, and I ride a 6 year old Klein, with Time Mountain Bike pedals. That's my first race post since breaking my jaw. I was able to confidently go into aero position on the handlebars. I was able to ride the hills without braking, and with pedaling strong, in
Sandia Crest: 8.6.10 14 miles straight up, RPE of 5.
Never road my road bike up a mountain before, it's something I want to get better at. I called Justin @ Bikes Plus Flower Mound he recommended a 28 cog in the back. Hip, hip hurray! It's been a long time, or at least it seems like it. I've gotten in some great workouts, despite the heat. I hit FOY Masters on Friday that was a blast. Backstroke. Thursday got in strength and a great 1 hour trail run. I would have liked to go further, the heat actually held me back, I started at noon. This week was so busy I don't know if I can remember it all. I know I ran a Jeter Loop, I know I rode my bike, I
