Update from New Mexico
Spring Break Rocks!
This morning I ran to the park and did 3 laps, it was over 3 miles, and my record is 28:00. I don’t know the exact distance. I have a time that I can compare to each time I run.
Yesterday, I rode my SS up the mountain. That was interesting. It was a learning experience. I did learn a lot. I went from the house to Glenwood Hills. How to ride SS up a steep long grade: power/strength/power/strength…
Sunday we skied Santa Fe all day with the monkeys. That was fun. It was warm, we got too much color on our faces and poor little monkey got a sunburn on her part. I hate that.
Saturday we hiked La Luz trail. I can’ t wait to run that whole thing. I’m thinking I do want to run up and down it. You know, as an ultimate goal. I have wanted to do the race for years, since I volunteered for it when I was still in college. What was that, 3 years ago. HA,HA,HA. We did it as a family, we went up 45 minutes and down 30 minutes. I know we did 3 miles, it may have been more. Actually, it would have been 4. Only another 10 to go. It’s 7 miles straight up. During the race you take the Tram down.
Tomorrow I am going to meet with an MAT specialist who owns a gym here in town.
I wanted to swim tonight but my oldest little monkey left her swim suit at home. So they are going to take their Mom in the morning. And in the afternoon we are going to go back to La Luz. And to buy the monkey a suit. We are planning to swim Friday again.
So we are chilling. We have T.V in New Mexico. We are watching our favorite show. You’re right Mr Nance, Biggest Loser. Hey, this is the first time I haven’t cried yet.
T.V. is cool.
I feel really bad about what is happening in Japan. That’s just another good reason not to do Nuclear. They are trying to get 2 reactors down on the Gulf. And, last I heard, we are on a fault. I just don’t think it’s a good idea. Heaven forbid, if we use more sun and wind.
Stop producing so much plastic.
Stop producing household products with Petroleum.
Stop producing health and beauty aids with Petroleum.
That will all help.
What’s happening in the Texas Legislature right now is scary. It’s already passed the Senate. It will disable the citizens of Texas of protecting themselves from “migratory pollution”. That’s the homeowners’ only hope for regaining losses due to environmental contamination. Pretty slick, huh?
Please tell your Texas Representative that you want to be able to protect your home and your family against corporate environmental pollution that contaminates your land, your water, kills your livestock or makes you sick.
Boring, I know, huh. I wish I was working out hard like on Biggest Loser right now. With all these Whole Foods Nummy, Nummies, I may eventually end up on the Biggest Loser. Crack is good, but will definitely end up on your waste line if you let it. Of course, I am speaking only of ‘crack’ of the baked good variety. Mmm.
Here’s to getting more than 2 hours of exercise tomorrow. Swim, hike/run.
