THURSDAY: 9.23.2010 2 a day Update

My second run went great.  At 45 minutes I did have to slow it down a bit, to some walking.  I think, that had something to do with everything that is in my lungs.  No, not the gas stuff, but simply the congestion I’ve been dealing with.

The soccer commissioner does have pneummonia so I’ll be keeping very close tabs on that.  Today it does hurt to cough so we’ll see if it takes me up to Baylor for a listen and picture.

Yesterday, my long a waited swim occured.  This is a swim I have been wanting to do since the storm took me out of the pool at Irving last Friday.

35 minute pull.  Got in over a mile.  Since it was a pull, I had to stop and adjust the buoy a couple of times, that’s kind of a pain.  It felt good, now if I could just keep my jaw from slipping back into the joint while I’m swimming freestyle that would be fabulous.

Looking forward to an easy spin and another swim today.  My swim today has to be LONG. 

You all know I’m swimming across Lake Travis October 9th, on a relay.  Even though it’s a relay, I’m still scared, it’s 12 miles and the teams are 4, my jaw slips into my joint, but that’s 3 miles a piece: 45 minutes, 30 minutes and then 15 minutes per teammate until we finish.
