Things are not always as they seem
Monday: cold, kinda rainy, beat tired from Puzzler, movies and snuggling on the couch with the monkeys with many naps.
Tuesday: Cranky, feeling over trained, thought for sure I would be in the pool for a light swim, as snappy as I am, better rest. Otherwise, my poor children…
I spent the day: researching and you tubing, learning.
Wednesday, ready to hit the gym and the pool, get the phone call on the way out of the monkeys parking lot:
“Can we put your window in this morning?”
Well, I guess so. As everyone knows, the best thing to do, take advantage of your contractor when he’s actually available. Even though, what I wanted to say was, “After lunch”.
So with a 13 year old passing in his sleep,
low motivation,
fatigue and
recovery looming,
I spent the morning in front of the computer, facebooking, linking in articles here, articles there.
Non of them were related just random stuff: some Gas, some Exercise, some Boy who passed away. It can be scary what Google and the Mind can actually accomplish in a course of a couple of hours.
Then, after they left, I detailed the house. Just about every last inch of it.
Construction Done! Kitchen…still to be painted(not any time soon, I need normalcy for a while.)
Thursday finally able to get out of the house for an awesome gym workout and a phenomenal 3 hour ride.
Friday, was totally swallowed by work and Race Clinic Organization meeting.
Saturday: 1 hour Tempo Run at Bosque
DFW, TX was DORBA Johnson Branch 6 hour. Teammate Thomas Mullins got an 11th place. Great Job Thomas!
Rey Vera, managed a 14th Place, Great Job, Rey!
We’re determined to make Rey into an endurance junkie at some point. I keep imagining him coming to me and saying something like: “I want to get a Gold Buckle at Leadville” or even better, “I want to kick the Breck 100’s a$$”.
This year, he had a great 6 hour, and is all signed up to race Ouchita Challenge. Until then, he’s basing everything on a great TMBRA race series, and an upgrade to Pro.
We had some great promo at the race, check out the feedzone.
I think, Miss Connie may have had them actually pose for her. Regardless, when this came through, it put a gigantic smile on my face.
The family and I watched this very informative Movie:
Today: I’m not sure yet…I’m still determined to get to the pool.
Can’t wait for tomorrow and being back to a normal week.
