Was a Good day until it wasn't. And it was fun. I put a lot of time and effort into this race. Starting the season with a 50k, a mid-season 50 miler, and time for a 3rd build. I have had my eye on this race for over a decade. Always saying I would do 2 x 100 mile races in my lifetime. My goal was to place myself mid-pack and finish in 30 hours. The Last Time I was This Fit
It was 2014. Which comes to no surprise because I haven't really trained since 2015. Just been riding my bike, swimming, and running, tweaking my fun to participate in events; while I got settled into my new life, and new routine. I am starting to feel human again. I was a zombie for 10 days to 2 weeks. It has been a long haul, with some incredibly high Training Stress Scores, and some very Negative Training Stress Balances. And some AWESOME EPIC ADVENTURES. The Rules
Rule #1: Have Fun. Sometimes Rule #1 evolves. It's important to have the flexibility and the mindset to be accepting of whatever Rule#1 transforms itself into.
