My Boyfriend, Scott
Many of you have heard of him.
Some of you have met him.
He’s truly a delight. With race wheels on, weighing in at 21 pounds, he’s very impressive. I’m still working on a real name. Until then, I’ll just call him, my boyfriend, Scott.
The nice thing about my boyfriend Scott, is he’s there for me, whenever I’m ready. He never talks back. I always feel better about myself when I’m done hanging out with him.
Now on Friday’s ride…well, I still got out there, he didn’t care that I was riding like an old lady, and he didn’t mind that we walked over everything. He was just glad to be out with me on a Friday afternoon enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.
He didn’t care I had the head cold from hell and didn’t have the power or the vision to ride hard. He was just happy to get in 3.5 hours.
That’s the thing I love about my boyfriend Scott.
He doesn’t like Bontrager tires at all, he prefers only Maxxis. The other one’s well, they just shred big holes in them.
And don’t worry; Ken knows about my boyfriend Scott. He didn’t help pick him out, but he’s been through the process of breaking him in, and trying to get comfortable, like Loose Lucy, my Kona.
My boyfriend, Scott, required a 17 degree drop stem:
It’s very comfy. I finally after several months feel like a rock star when I’m riding.
It’s hard to say good bye to old friends, but I just had to say good bye to my Mizouno Wave Universe 3’s. I was scared at first when I couldn’t find them anywhere on the internet. I was almost panicking. Then, I realized. I bet it’s time for the Wave Universe 4’s.
So…
Hello, my new friends: My boyfriend, Scott, loves it when I wear these. I’ve tried them out on one run. They’re just like my Universe 3’s but they are much more fall oriented. I feel like I’m ready for Halloween when I wear these things. They are much flashier than I would prefer.
I thought it would be cool if I tried them out the other day, I ran for about 20 minutes. Between the 3.5 hour bike ride with my boyfriend, Scott, and the boogers that were exploding out of my noes, and the broken toe…that was enough.
I know, I know, you’re scared of me wearing my new shoes. You should be, because you can tell by the flames, they make me faster, super faster. So much faster, with the above scenario, I ran about 10 minute miles.
I was lightening fast, no one saw me. They didn’t see me miss a turn on the Cross Country course, they thought I ran the whole thing in 21 minutes. Yea, in my dreams…well, maybe not too far off, minus:
the snot,
the broken toe
and the 3.5 hour bike ride the day before.
So remember, when you see me show up in my lightening fast shoes and my Zoefitness visor…you should be shaking in your shoes…and if you don’t like it I’ll get my boyfriend, Scott and we’ll have some fun!
