It’s tough to CHOOSE to do something you’re going to be really bad at
And that’s exactly what I have had to do for Saturday.
That’s what I had to remind my ol’ man yesterday while he was on the golf course. It’s not about winning or losing it’s about playing the game, and having fun.
I don’t want to give up on my goals. I have to let go of the idea that I will be any good, and just have fun, and ride for a long time; 3 x longer than I have in months.
(shake of head)
It’s important to set aside one goal to look into the future of another one; Dirty Dozen.
I can’t remember the last time I did a race and didn’t ‘race’ it. Well, besides Northshore, that’s different, I did that on SS, so it was OK that I was slow. Saturday I will not race SS I want cushion on the jaw, Kona.
I have to reside that I may get last place, to see the brightness of the future.
I am excited to see all of my old friends, the ones I mountain bike with.
At NS on Wednesday, I was reminded of just how slow I have gotten. And man, my legs are sore!
Tuesday, Pose Method, 30 minutes at Horseshoe. I’m getting it. Falling forward while lifting my ankles, it is coming together for me, finally. It really began to make sense to me when I began lifting my ankles towards my hips, lifting them, higher.
I am not saying it’s easy to keep that form, it easier to allow Pose Method to take over.
Tuesday…
Hmm…
