It’s been a long week

and all I wanted to do was crawl into bed.  I did, as soon as I got home from my Larry North Meeting.

All of my free time was used to go to the oral surgeon’s.  BTW, I used Dr Larry Wolford.  I have heard he is the best in the country, and possibly the world.  It’s still rough though.  My bite is aligned, which is awesome, I am still in a considerable amount of pain.

I can not wait to eat food.  I’m starving all the time.  I guess, it’s time for some ice cream.

Yesterday between the DR’s and my mandatory meeting at Larry North at Preston Royal I jaunted over to Oak Cliff Nature Preserve.  I have never been there.  I did not ride the whole course.  I didn’t want to be late for my meeting.  I always have to leave extra time to get lost.

I got lost on the way to Oak Cliff Nature Preserve.  And one would have to assume, I would get lost going to my meeting.  So I did lap one and two, and then lap one 2 more times.  I think, it I rode for a total of 45 minutes.

It’s a nice place, but there’s a factory there that makes so much noise, it’s not very relaxing.  It’s loud, ear plug loud.  However, the trail was very nice, and I did enjoy my ride!

Thursday I swam, I didn’t really keep track.  It was between a thousand and 1200 yards.  I did about a 500 kick.  There’s this guy, Gary, that often swims with me.  He’s one of those guys, he is super fast, it doesn’t look like it when you watch him from deck.  When I am in the water next to him, he continually laps me.  He has been swimming for years and has swam 15k’s before.  Yes, folks, 15 k’s.

I’m still on my way to recovery.  I would say I am somewhere between 40 and 60% depending on the day.

It’s rough.  When I was swimming, I was huffing and puffing, it was crazy.

The water felt so good, the swim felt good, and it felt REALLY good to not have my  jaw slip back into the joint like it used to.  No pain in the water, pain on the deck afterwards.

I got a half a lap in at Northshore earlier in the week.

I still am not running, but walking continuously, as always.

I am dying to do yard work.  Not really wanting to clean my house.

I am totally jones’n to get out there in the yard and get busy.

Let’s see; Salt or yard work?  We’ll see how I feel when I get out of Downtown today.
