I’m a Survivor
That’s an interesting date isn’t it? I’m TIRED, I’m frazzled, I’m busy, I’m a survivor.
I went to Knob Hill today, I went in the back, knowing it was probably wet, I was prepared to tip toe around, you know, Leave NO trace. I went downt he hill, a little water at the bottom, this can’t be a good sign! I just went cautiously, not expecting much. I got all the way to the end, and noticed we should be riding that section, it’s so torn up by horse tracks it will help smooth it out, it’s still moist enough to mold but not muddy. Then, I went up to the dirt road and did a set of 10 or 11 30 seconds ON/OFF. This felt great! I felt like I could ride all day.
However, now I am tired, I am very tired, played out and ready to sleep for ever. Maybe some iron would help, I know it couldn’t hurt! I’m getting off the sauce, the only thing espresso has been doing for me lately is make me nauseaus. I had some green tea this afternoon, with no honey and it was actually quite delightful. When 2 doubles a day doesn’t get you jacked up so you’re crazy then, it’s time to get back on the tea.
Days like today I miss the TV, I had to take a nap, but I usually like to watch Dog Whisperer and kind of float in and out of consciousness. I laid on the couch snuggling with Crazi Mol Mol, I’ m not sure if I fell asleep, I just know after about 15 minutes of lying there, there was no hope for a 12 hour nap. Maybe later.
I have some griping to do, you know part of the reason I am so tired is because there’s a natural gas drill going close enough to the house that once the enviromental noice calmed down, it was like it was at our neighbors house. I can’t believe that people are signing their lives away for money. 30 days that thing goes, 24 hours per day, crazy. All for money. The heck that it ruins your life and everybody else’s life within a 2 mile radius. Let’s make sure we get more money, like we don’t have enough of it already. Who know how long it will take the earth to settle but rest a sured when it does it’s taking everything you own with it. That especially concerns me over by DFW where the highway entrance ramps are 3 stories high, and they are taking the natural gas out of the Barnett Shale like a vampire sucking the blood from an innocent victem. All for money. It really bothers me, why are we doing it, well, of course, so we use more American resources, so we don’t have to pay as much, so we save more money. Hell, you want to save more money, turn your lights off. when we conserve gas the demand goes down, when the demand goes down the price goes down.
I love all the Christmas lights, in our neighborhood it’s against HOA rules to light them before Thanksgiving. It seems like a good rule to me. There’s no reason to have them burning the day after Halloween. I’m impressed you had some company come over and hang your lights for you, actually the total opposite. I enjoy the natural look of going out there and doing it youself and using some creativity. There really isn’t any pleasure for me to look at the run of the mill lights, all white, hung on your house in impossible places. Kind of boring if you actually ask me. I like blues, reds, oranges, whatever kind of junk you can find to hang or throw out in the yard. So why are we lighting them so early. I thought we were trying to save the ice people and the polar bears. Again, people aren’t impressed with how much money you have, they are impressed on how you use the money. Using your money for good. Not for killing the environment. The truth about burning the lights so early is it creates more coal burning, which creates more carbon dioxide, which drives up the need for Natural Gas and other types of energy. I think wasting electricity is one of the most selfish things we can do. The monkies Great Grandmother is still alive. I want my children to know their great grandchildren, I want to perserve the beauty of this life and this world. You know when we use less energy, it brings the cost of energy down. When we drive less, the price of gas goes down.
I truly wish that we would decrease our energy use, and our automobile use so that we no longer would have to rely on getting our energy from areas of the world who promote violence. Violence in their own people and violence towards our people. It seems pretty easy when it’s layed out like that. Drive less, use less gas, don’t buy gas from the middle east.
I do enjoy holiday lights, but come on, show the world you care about somebody but yourself. I don’t think Jesus would approve that we’re so blatantly showing Earth disrespect nor that we are supporting people who use relegion as a reason for terrorism. Maybe you just didn’t realize it’s so deep.
But once we utilize only solar energy and wind energy, I hope we light out lights all year round, because, Jesus is cool.
What else…
I’ve got a lot of getting ready to do, and a lot of work to do to get ready from baking bread to buying chicken. Being Gluten Free times like now, it’s a lot of work, but when I’m chilling like Bob Dylan in Palo Duro Canyon freezing my yonkers off, I’ll be totally stoked with my fine gourmet GF organice food. Mmm…
Manana is a 4 AM wake up call, those are always fun. Giving up the double shot for green tea should put me to bed, let’s say around the time I’m driving home from Irving Swimmers.
I thought I would check out Shanna Armstrongs blog today, Shanna, if you’re interested I think your neck and shoudler could use first some ART(Active Release Technique), followed by some MAT (Muscle Activation Technique). Now that’s some good work!
I also checked out Jamie Whitmore’s Blog, if you truly want to be inspired by the miracles of LIFE check that out! Jamie raced and got second place in 2006 when I was in Maui for the XTERRA World Champions. What a fighter.
