Every Ride Should be so Good
Started ride it was 68 degrees, with cloud cover.
That made my MN blood so happy. 🙂
I finished it was sub 80, double happy 🙂  🙂
My Awesome Ride: consisted of Elena/Tram/La Luz x 2/Tram Elena.  You can see it’s my  mini Leadville.
I wanted to head to Socorro today to do “Leadville” Topo.
There’s been a change in Monsoon patterns, bringing them earlier, and I wanted to make the most of my morning.
So with the change in monsoons patterns, I changed my workout.
Tuesday’s ride left me with a TSS score of 271. Â That would be 2-3 days recovery.
So I didn’t really know what to expect today.
I did active recovery all day yesterday, and at some point, I had to get some help from my friends at 2XU, I put double compression on, calf guards and then tights, for a couple of hours.
I ate like crap last night, in celebration of my 8.5 hour ride on Tuesday, I had GF sausage pizza and yes, 2 GF chocolate cupcakes, including frosting.
Eating like that is like sabotaging your workout/race before you even get started. Â I know that, but I had to celebrate Tuesday.
My first trip up Elena, I had to pull in the reigns, I had to hold back. Â I was flying. Â I forced myself into as close to Zone 3 as I could. Â NP Z4. Told you I felt good.
My 1st trip up Tram NP Z3
1st La Luz NP Z4
2nd La Luz NP Z4
2nd Tram NP Z4 and 30 seconds faster than the 1st time.
2nd Elena Z4 and 10 seconds faster than the 1st time.
TSS Score for today 196.9
Frankly my performance surprised me.
I was ecstatic that I felt as good as I did.
I want to thank my awesome coach, that’s me!! Â Thanks for really knowing what you’re doing! Â I guess, all that continuing education, power training, and experience is paying off!
And my friends at 2XU for giving me a little extra recovery yesterday in the form of compression!
Thank you to all of my sponsors: Rudy Project, Mad Duck Cyclery, Terra Firma Racing, Fastenal, Fit to Win Cycling, Infinit Nutrition, 2XU, UPS Store 4275, for all that you do! Â You Rock!
