Swim I: Saturday April 25th, 2020:10:00 am to 12:00 pm: Cochiti Lake Swim Beach CANCELLED
Swim II: Saturday June 20th, 2020: 9:00 am to 11:00 am: Abiquiu Lake Boat Ramp CANCELLED
Swim III: Saturday July 25th, 2020: 9:00 am to 11:00 am: Abiquiu Boat Ramp
This is a USMS Sanctioned Event. A USMS Annual Membership or Day License is mandatory with a signed waiver to participate. If you hold an annual membership please present the day of. The day pass to the park is included in the cost of your registration. Please arrive early to fill out waivers and necessary paperwork. We will be on site an hour before start time.

The 3 swimming events will be run as a series, you must participate in at least two swims to be considered for Overall Series standings. Swim I will be designated with more points, and will be considered the Wild Card, for all three events with double the points up for grabs.

This is a unique open water swim clinic. We will have lifeguards, boats, and coaches on hand to help you have the best experience possible. If you cannot successfully swim a continuous 500 yard/meter in the pool, this clinic is NOT for you. Children under the age of 17 may be able participate; please email zoe@zoefitness.com with swim experience and approval prior to registration. Approval will be made on a one on one basis.
Wetsuits are strongly recommended and MANDATORY at Swim I on April 25th, in Lake Cochiti

-Dealing with anxiety during the swim portion
-Reading currents
-Bilateral breathing
-Sighting
-Swimming straight in open water
-Swimming in a crowd
-Drafting
-Turning at buoys
-Exiting the water

Meet your coach: Zoe Nance
United States Master Swim Level I and Level II Certified Coach
USA Triathlon Level I Coach
USA Cycling Level I Elite Coach with Distinction
American College of Sports Medicine Certified Exercise Physiologist and holds a degree from University of New Mexico in Exercise Science. She has been competing in the sport of triathlon for over 20 years and has successfully completed some of the most difficult venues including Escape from Alcatraz and the Xterra World Championships. She has been swimming in Masters Programs for 18 years, became certified to Coach on deck through United States Master Swim Program, and enjoyed coaching Winona Masters prior to relocating back to New Mexico, where she is currently coaching swimmers of all levels.
